Diggle and Doe’s List of Fun Things to do this Summer
My girls have wanted to participate in a video for a while (we often see them doing their own Learning Life videos) so today they are presenting to you “List of Fun Things to do this Summer”.
Here is their list:
We hope that this might provide some inspiration for you to create your own list of fun things to do.
No Churn Ice Cream
Want to make some ice cream? Well, you can easily make it in a jar. Check out this post on how to make it.
But this is another way that we like to make it – an easy no churn recipe.
You will need:
– 1 can (14oz) of sweetened condensed milk
– 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
– vanilla extract or essence (optional)
What to do:
1. Using a stand or hand mixer, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
2. Add the vanilla (if you like) and the sweetened condensed milk and mix until it all smooth.
3. Pour into container. Put on a lid and freeze.
You can also add any fruit you like or chocolate syrup to make the ice cream you want. We make a lot and love it!
Nature Scavenger Hunts
We love being outdoors and love scavenger hunts. Next week I will do a video on how to make a nature scavenger hunt. Don’t forget to check it out.
Here is a post on putting together other kinds of scavenger hunts.
Crafts!
Yes, we love crafts. We adore crafts (but not so much the clean up). At Learning Life we have a number of videos on different crafts. You can go to the homepage and under “Topics” on the right hand side, click on “Select category” and then click on “DIY”. But here are some of them:
Watermelon Sun catcher
DIY Playhouse (with cardboard boxes)
Fluffy Sidewalk Chalk
Put on a show!
If you are going to put on a show with friends then maybe you need to make your own instruments. Here are some that we have made before – mostly with things from around the house or easily and inexpensively obtained.

We hope you have fun this summer! Create your own lists and see if you can achieve them. The trying to get them all done is half the fun.
At the end of the video the girls said that if you want us to make a snack video (how to make a tasty snack) then comment and tell them what you want to make.
HAPPY SUMMER!
