PARENT PORTAL

Don’t you often wish that there was an easy way to enter into what just seems so difficult? A parent portal, for example; a doorway or entrance into a place where you can get the help and/or support you need.

Three years ago I started a vlog that focused on education. Life got in the way. That happens far too often. For us it was raising twins, I was running my own school, and my husband got super busy with work (and I can’t do this without him). Something had to give and I didn’t want it to be my sanity. We stopped releasing videos, but it was always in the back of my mind to start up again, tweaked a little bit to match what I have been learning and observing over the years.

POSITIVE PARENTING SOLUTIONS

I decided that I didn’t want to just focus on education, but to provide positive parenting solutions. We can be inundated with so many different ideas from the internet; social media can make it look so beautiful and easy (and provides oodles of judgment) but we do tend to hide the hard days, the tough parenting issues, tantrums and the hair-pulling moments. You find yourself late at night Googling such things as “parent support groups” and “parenting courses” and you wonder what on earth you are doing. You are not alone. Sometimes we need to slow down, reduce the noise and work out what is right for us. I don’t want to add to the noise; it would be my honor to help you reduce it. I hope the vlogs/blogs bring clarity to issues, solutions to challenges and see parents succeeding in raising their kids.

I love to see children thriving, and I love to see parents feeling good about themselves and their parenting ability. It never hurts to ask for help if you are not sure. Often, in the moment, we can’t think clearly enough to see a good solution and I want to help with practical parenting ideas.  If you feel like you need some help, please get in touch with me and let’s go from there. Although you’re only seeing me on-screen and reading my thoughts in the blogs, these blogs and vlogs are more than just me. Behind the scenes you will find my husband Carsten playing a very significant role. He takes care of most of the technical things, comes up with ideas, tries to make me look good on camera and makes sure everything is going to happen. Basically, I can’t do this without him and wouldn’t want to.
